THE VISION

With over 1500 soccer players in Cochrane, we aim to develop first class facilities in Town that can be used for generations to come. The number of participants continues to grow with the Cochrane Wolves indoor program growing by over 100% in the past 3 years. Despite the lack of Indoor facilities and that the Indoor facilities provided in Town are not even soccer specific, the growth and development of the sport continues.

Our Vision is to develop a first class indoor facility that promotes health & wellness excellence for all. The flexible indoor facility will meet the needs of children, youth, adults & seniors in the community providing amazing experiences for all users.

Cochrane is one of the fastest growing communities in the country, and has been growing for over 20 years. Yet, our infrastructure is severely lagging behind. 

Amenities an Indoor Dome could Provide:

• 1 x 9v9 or 11v11 Indoor Turf Field for Soccer, Football, Rugby, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Cricket.
• 200-300m Indoor track
• Sport Science Centre.
• Baseball/softball Batting Nets.
• Video Analysis Rooms.
• Warm-Up/Cool-Down Area.

• A Home for all Field Sports in Cochrane.
• A Home for Sport in Cochrane.
• A safe space for athletes to run without impeding public/community spaces such as the SLS Centre.
• A Home for Teams to train and practice.
• Provide more recreational space at the SLS Centre for Drop-In/Community Activities.
• A Place for Thousands of Cochranites to play their chosen Sport in a professional-grade Facility that has the correct surface.
• Reduce travel for the hundreds/thousands of families who are forced to travel to play sport because Cochrane does not have the facilities to meet their needs.
• Promote physical activity and mental health by providing more accessibility to field space.
